THE GUARDIAN CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE WEEK

There is a lovely review for the new album by Jan Bartoš and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jakub Hrůša featuring Vítězslav Novák‘s Piano Concerto, the piano cycle At Dusk and the Symphonic poem Toman and the Wood Nymph.

"The Concerto is crammed with hefty bravura solo writing that is dispatched on the recording by Jan Bartoš with suitable muscularity".

Jan Bartoš's recent piano recital at the Prague Spring International Music Festival was web-streamed to an international audience worldwide.
